Positive Athlete is a recognition program that celebrates high character, high school student-athletes and coaches who have overcome difficult circumstances, given back to their schools and communities in a significant way, or just have an infectious positive attitude that makes everyone around them a better person. Qualifications: Any high school student-athlete or coach, male or female, in grades 9-12 and in any sportteam or individualcan be nominated for Positive Athlete. All nominees are considered equally. Anyone 18 years or older can nominate a high school athlete, and nominators can submit as many nominations as they wish. This program is and will always remain 100% free for every high school student athlete in the United States. Selection criteria: Positive Athlete's focus is to celebrate high school student athletes who exhibit character, leadership, and contributions beyond sports. How to apply: Nominations are made online at PositiveAthlete.org. You can submit a general nomination under the "NOMINATE" tab or through your REGIONS" tab for a specific region.
