Alpha Phi Sigma

To purpose alpha phi sigma members pursuing graduate or undergraduate degrees. Qualifications: Applicants must be national alpha phi sigma members; must be enrolled in a degree program; applicants are not eligible to receive the same scholarship two years in succession. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on academic performance, leadership and service, personal statement and evaluation reports and judged by panel of impartial Alpha Phi Sigma faculty members. How to apply: Applicants must submit their most recent transcript signed by their chapter advisor; submit their most current résumé listing leadership and service on campus and in the community, as well as honors and awards received in both areas; submit a 5–7 page paper on personal goals in the field of Corrections (such as Corrections Counseling, Parole/Probation, Correctional Personnel, Correctional Programs, Security, Teaching, Faith-Based Programs, or Transitional Programs); submit three evaluation reports from individuals who can attest to the applicant’s performance, citizenship, character, and ambitions; all submissions must be in 12-point Times New Roman font, double spaced, with one-inch margins.
