To provide scholarships for the dependents of AAST trooper members. Qualifications: Applicants must be an AAST member parent must have been a member in good standing for two (2) consecutive years prior; students can be eligible; Applicants must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited college, state university, community college or technical school; Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale; Applicants must be high school or college students. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on academic performance, clarity and relevance of the essay, and commitment to career goals. How to apply: Applicants must submit an official transcript showing a minimum 3.0 GPA; Applicants must submit a final four-year high school transcript or a current college transcript with all grades through the application year; Applicants must submit a letter of acceptance from an accredited institution; Applicants must submit a typed 500-word essay titled 'How My Education Will Advance My Career Plans'; Applicants must attach a small photo to the application.
