To support graduate students enrolled in a course of study in the criminal justice field. Qualifications: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen; applicants must be a member of an ACJA/LAE chapter or Member-at-Large in good standing (both at the time of submission and at the time of the awards); must enrolled in an accredited post-graduate program such as a Master's or Doctorate Degree program; must members who are upper or lower division students or graduate students enrolled in a course of study in the criminal justice field; must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters of accredited course work; all applicants must have achieved a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of a 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.; applicants must be currently enrolled with a minimum course load of at least two thirds (2/3) of full-time enrollment as established by the applicant's college or university. Selection criteria: The criteria chosen by the Committee to evaluate applicants involves the following factors: overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a scale of 4.0.; GPA of basic courses completed in criminal justice or related field of study; statement of career and educational goals of student; financial need, race, age, sex, religion, or national origin will not be considered in the selection of recipients. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; complete the application check list on page 8 before you return the application; type the application or use a pen with black or dark ink; do not use a pencil; print carefully so that your form will be easy to read; complete all portions of the application and email one (1) copy of the; application along with a copy of your academic transcript; submitted a letter from my college/university registrar certifying that i am currently enrolled in at least two-thirds (2/3) of a normal full course load as determined by the institution; additional supporting documents: official certified school transcript; certification of enrollment status; career and educational goals statement; letters of recommendation (optional).
