To provide scholarships to graduating high school students who plan to pursue fishery related degrees at colleges or universities in Idaho. Qualifications: Applicants must be enrolled in an Idaho high school, obtaining an ID GED, or Idaho residents not yet attending college; have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.0; plan to attend a college or university located in Idaho; have professional goals that support the mission of the American Fisheries Society. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on following criteria (not in order of relevance): professional goals; course work completed; GPA; a scholarship recommendation from a science teacher. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; obtain a copy of applicants high school transcripts; identify a science teacher who will complete applicants scholarship recommendation questionnaire; the recommendation must be completed and submitted using the scholarship recommendation form. Focus: Fisheries sciences/management.
