To provide scholarships to underrepresented populations in the marketing profession. Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following requirements: must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent U.S. resident; must be enrolled in a full-time AACSB accredited marketing doctoral program, or an advertising doctoral program, and have successfully completed at least one year; have not previously received a Valuing Diversity Scholarship. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; applicants will be evaluated based on the following: two letters of recommendation: one from the applicant’s advisor or Doctoral Program Coordinator, and an essay explaining how receiving a Valuing Diversity PhD Scholarship will help applicants further applicants research efforts; essay also should address one of the following: dissertation research incorporates conceptual, design, or methods issues related to creating a more inclusive and expansive pool of workplace talent; dissertation research contributes to advancing the field of marketing; dissertation research incorporates any innovative theories or advanced, cutting-edge designs, methods, or approaches; essays must be in Microsoft Word format. Essays should be two-pages, double-spaced, in 12 pt. type (approximately 500 words.) Sources applicants mention in applicants essay should be supplied on an additional page and do not count against the two-page maximum. Focus: Marketing and distribution.
