To recognize doctoral thesis research of exceptional quality and importance in experimental condensed matter or experimental materials physics. Qualifications: Applicants must have submitted a doctoral dissertation in experimental condensed matter or materials physics written in English; Applicants must have submitted their dissertation after January 1 of the second year prior to the award year; Applicants may be from any college or university worldwide. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on APS Council of Representatives. How to apply: Applicants must submit a completed nomination form including nominee’s contact information and thesis date; a copy of the Ph.D. thesis written in English; a letter from the thesis advisor explaining the rationale for the nomination; a curriculum vitae of the nominee; and two letters of support with at least one from another institution. Focus: Physics.
