To support licensed amateur radio operators pursuing postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must be an active, FCC-licensed amateur radio operators; Active foreign amateur radio operators are eligible for the ARDC Scholarships; GPA: 2.0+; Must be holding an amateur radio license for at least 1 year; Citizenship: United States and All Other Countries; Grade Level: H.S. Senior, Undergrad, Graduate; License Requirement: General Class or higher; Institution: 4-year college or university. Selection criteria: Preference is given to women Amateur Radio operators who are performing at a high academic level. Preference is given to applicants who have made a contact in the AM mode, but is not required; Preference is given to residents of Texas, If no qualified applicant is identified, preference will be given to residents of Arkansas. If no qualified applicant is identified, preference will be given to residents of the ARRL West Gulf (Texas, Oklahoma) or Delta (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee) Divisions. How to apply: Applicants must submit an online application form; transcripts and any additional required documents must be submitted with the application and not emailed separately; some scholarships require additional documents, such as a letter of recommendation from a sitting officer of an ARRL-affiliated club; transcripts must cover the applicant’s entire high school career to date and, if the applicant is in college, must include all semesters for which grades have been awarded.
