To support licensed amateur radio operators pursuing postsecondary education in the fields of communications and/or communications technology, electrical/RF engineering, and cybertechnology. Qualifications: Applicants must be an active, FCC-licensed amateur radio operators; Active foreign amateur radio operators are eligible for the ARDC Scholarships; GPA: 2.0+must be holding an amateur radio license for at least 1 year citizenship: United States and all other countries grade level: H.S. senior, undergrad, graduate; any active amateur radio license class; region: State of Maryland; if no qualified applicant is identified, preference will be given to applicants from the states of Virginia, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, and then the remaining USA; field of study: Communications and/or communications technology, electrical/RF engineering, cybertechnology. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the Committee criteria; Preference will be given to applicants who show evidence of demonstrated activity within the several amateur emergency communications programs such as MARS, ARES, and RACES. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; transcripts and any additional required documents must be submitted WITH the application and not emailed separately; A number of scholarships require additional documents, such as a letter of recommendation from a sitting Officer of an ARRL-affiliated club; Transcripts must cover applicants entire high school career to date and, if in college, must include all semesters for which grades have been awarded.
