To provide for eligible amateur radio operators pursuing higher education. Qualifications: Applicants must be an active technician class or higher; any region are eligible; field of study must be leading to a career in the healing arts, including, but not necessarily leading to medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, nursing, pharmacy, EMT, or radiology technician; preference will be given to undergraduate students and those in certificate programs, but graduate students; institution: accredited 2- or 4-year college or university; applicants should be able to describe how they have engaged in volunteer and/or public service activities making use of amateur radio; should show a desire to encourage others in the healing arts to become licensed hams; GPA: 2.0+; must be holding an amateur radio license for at least 1 year; citizenship: United States and all other countries; grade level: H.S. senior, undergraduate, graduate. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application; should include transcripts and any additional required documents; a number of scholarships require additional documents, such as a letter of recommendation from a sitting officer of an ARRL-affiliated club; applications without accompanying transcripts and additional required documents (if applicable) will not be considered. Focus: Dental hygiene; Dentistry; Medicine; Nursing; Paramedics; Pharmaceutical sciences; Radiology; Veterinary science and medicine.
