To support licensed amateur radio operators pursuing postsecondary education in business or STEM fields. Qualifications: Applicants must hold a technician class or higher amateur radio operators license; applicant must be a US citizen; fully accredited institution or university; business, science, math, engineering or technology-related field; all applicants must be an active, FCC-licensed amateur radio operators; active foreign amateur radio operators are eligible for the ARDC scholarships; GPA: 2.0+; must be holding an amateur radio license for at least 1 year; grade level: H.S. senior, undergraduate, graduate; qualified applicant is identified, the scholarship may be awarded to any applicant residing in Virginia who meets other eligibility requirements. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria; Preference will be given to applicants residing in the following Virginia counties: Page, Shenandoah, Warren, Clarke, City of Winchester, or the following West Virginia counties: Hampshire, Jefferson and Berkeley. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; transcripts and any additional required documents must be submitted WITH the application and not emailed separately; a number of scholarships require additional documents, such as a letter of recommendation from a sitting officer of an ARRL-affiliated club; transcripts must cover their entire high school career to date and, if in college, must include all semesters for which grades have been awarded.
