To support licensed amateur radio operators pursuing postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must be an active, licensed amateur radio operator; must be a resident of the ARRL Central Division (IL, IN, WI); must be studying in agriculture, electronics, history, broadcasting, communications, or related fields at an accredited postsecondary institution; all applicants must be an active, FCC-licensed amateur radio operators; active foreign amateur radio operators are eligible for the ARDC scholarships; GPA: 2.0+; must be holding an amateur radio license for at least 1 year; citizenship: United States and All other countries; grade level: H.S. senior, undergrad, graduate. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria; preference given to applicants residing in Illinois; preference is given to applicants demonstrating knowledge of CW (code) and/or those demonstrating interest in promoting Amateur Radio Service. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; transcripts and any additional required documents must be submitted with the application and not emailed separately; a number of scholarships require additional documents, such as a letter of recommendation from a sitting officer of an ARRL-affiliated club.
