To provide financial assistance to members, their children and other immediate relatives pursuing higher education. Qualifications: Applicants must be a member in good standing pursuing a degree at an accredited institution; be a relative of sponsor member in good standing (spouse, domestic partner, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, stepchild, sibling) pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited institution; previous recipients of a Milton Weintraub Scholarship must provide proof of continuing scholastic achievement by maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or better. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; first time applicants must submit a 400-word essay that describes the influence trade unions have made on their family; essay must contain references to the history and development of organized labor, the social and economic impact of organized labor and how family membership in a labor union has made a difference in the applicant’s life; ATPAM Members making application for themselves must write an explanation describing their reason(s) for pursuing further education; previous recipients of a Milton Weintraub Scholarship must provide proof of continuing scholastic achievement by maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or better; applicants must submit a complete transcript of his or her most recent scholastic grades; applicants, even those submitting a return application, must submit a brief updated biography or personal statement.
