To encourage promising young women who pursue geoscience careers through attendance at field camp. Qualifications: Applicants must be a full-time student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in the geosciences (geology, geophysics, geochemistry, hydrology, meteorology, physical oceanography, planetary geology, or earth science education) at an accredited college or university AND must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher; will need a current AWG membership. How to apply: Applicants must submit online applications form; a 250-word essay explaining how the field-camp experience fits into applicants long-term academic and career goals; a transcript of all applicants college work (an unofficial transcript is acceptable); name and contact information for one reference person who is acquainted with applicants work and is willing to write a letter of recommendation for applicants. Focus: Geosciences.
