To provide degree-completion funding for women geoscience graduate students whose education has been significantly interrupted by life circumstances. Qualifications: Applicants must be a graduate student who has had an interruption in academic progress of her current degree program due to life circumstances; approaching the completion phase of her geoscience degree; someone who has contributed to, and will continue to contribute to, both the geosciences and the larger global community through her academic and personal strengths. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; a letter of application in which the applicant describes her background, career goals and objectives, how the scholarship will be used, and the nature and length of the interruption to her education; an estimated date of completion must be provided; Letters of reference from the applicant's thesis/dissertation advisor and another scientist of her choice; Both letters should specifically address the eligibility criteria and the topics in #1 above; all application materials should be clearly labeled with the applicant's name, physical mailing address, and phone number.
