To provide tuition support and summer internships to law students who are part of groups that are historically underrepresented in the legal profession. Qualifications: Applicants must be law students who have overcome obstacles in a way that demonstrates that they have the attributes of a pioneer in the profession or with a background or experiences that enable them to bring a unique perspective to client service, and who have completed their 1L or 2L year at an ABA-accredited law school; must not be a recipient of a similar such award from another law firm for the same time period and must be authorized to work in the United States. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on superior academic performance during college and law school; a personal achievements; a Oral and written communication skills; a Leadership achievements; a Community involvement; a demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity; a sincere interest and commitment to join BakerHostetler. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include current resume; undergraduate transcript; law school transcript; references - list the names and contact information for applicants references (no more than three); personal statement - statement should discuss how applicants have overcome obstacles in a way that demonstrates that applicants have the attributes of a pioneer in the profession or the background or experiences have had that would enable applicants to bring a unique perspective to client service; statement should be double-spaced and no more than 500 words.
