To support medical students at the University of Minnesota Duluth and encourage the work of family-practice medical professionals in rural and small towns throughout northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Qualifications: Applicants must be students who are or were residents of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundations service region, which includes Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis Counties in Minnesota, and Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Iron, and Price Counties in Wisconsin; applicants must attend the University of Minnesota Medical School-Duluth, declare a family practice specialty, be in good academic standing, and demonstrate financial need; must planning for college, technical school, or another form of post-secondary education.
