To help young men and women who are currently in an open dependency court order in Washington State, or an open dependency tribal court order, continue their education and earn a college degree. Qualifications: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent; must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.0 or GED equivalent; must plan to enroll at an eligible college or university in the state of Washington in an undergraduate degree program; must have resided in Washington state for at least one year prior to enrolling in college; must apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the free Washington Application for State Financial Aid; must meet one of the following Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; unofficial transcript from applicants high school or GED provider showing grades through fall current year and cumulative GPA; copy of dependency Court Order: provide a copy of the official court document reflecting applicants current placement situation; copies can be obtained from applicants social worker; request the following document through the application portal: letter of recommendation: ensure applicants recommender submits a letter of recommendation.
