To provide scholarships for qualified nursing students from both rural and urban settings. Qualifications: Applicants must be Colorado residents committed to practicing nursing in Colorado; must be students in an approved Colorado Nursing Program or an approved online program; must have at least one semester or quarter of study remaining prior to completing their degree; must be enrolled in a BSN program or accepted into a twelve-month accelerated BSN program; undergraduate applicants must have a minimum 3.25 GPA, and graduate applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA; eligible student statuses include: second-year students in an associate degree nursing program; junior or senior BSN undergraduate students; RNs enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program; RNs with a master's degree in nursing who are currently practicing in Colorado and enrolled in a doctoral program; students enrolled in an accelerated nursing program who have completed at least one quarter or semester; students accepted into a twelve-month accelerated program with a transcript from a previous degree; students in the second or third year of a Doctorate Nursing Practice (DNP) program or who have completed the first year of a PhD program; all graduate degree students must maintain continuous enrollment of at least 6 semester hours.
