To provide scholarships to local students pursuing studies in automotive mechanics, automotive, and diesel truck mechanics. Qualifications: Applicants must graduated from a high school located within the foundation's service area, are home-educated high school graduates, or are General Educational Development (GED) recipients; must be reside in the community foundation's service area; must attend an accredited institution of higher education within the united states of America on a full-time basis; plan to attend a two-year college or a professional, trade, or vocational school; must attend an accredited post-secondary institution within the United States of America during the upcoming academic year; must pursue studies(career/technical/vocational, undergraduate, graduate, etc.) on a full-time basis during the upcoming academic year; must finish study in high school diploma from a public, private, parochial, or online school home-schooled high school education; must maintain a permanent address located within the Community Foundation Scholarship Program service area; a permanent address is usually a parent's home or the address listed on a driver's license, voters registration card, FAFSA, etc. It is most likely not a temporary on/off college campus address. The community foundation scholarship program service area includes the following areas within the State of Illinois. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on Scholarship Committee. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; grade transcripts, SAT and ACT scores (if available), SAI number from FAFSA (if available) and email address of individuals who will supply recommendations are required. Focus: Automotive technology; Mechanics and repairs.
