To support local students who have been involved with the Boys Scouts and who plan to pursue a career in the field of fire service or emergency medical service. Qualifications: Applicants must be current or former Boy Scouts in the Fox Valley who are pursuing a higher education toward a career in the field of fire service or emergency medical service; high school diploma from a public, private, parochial, or online school; home-schooled high school education; general educational development (GED) certificate or state certificate; attend an accredited post-secondary institution within the United States of America during the upcoming academic year; pursue studies (career/technical/vocational, undergraduate, graduate, etc.) on a full-time basis during the upcoming academic year; program service area includes the State of Illinois: DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, LaSalle, Will. How to apply: Applicants must complete the application through the online portal; grade Transcript(s); SAT and ACT test scores; student aid index (SAI) number from a processed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); email addresses of individuals from whom applicants will request a recommendation.
