To support local students pursuing degrees in library science, writing and language arts, education, and information technology. Qualifications: Applicant must have a high school diploma from a public, private, parochial, or online school, or a GED; must attend or plan to attend an accredited postsecondary institution in the United States during the upcoming academic year on a full-time basis; must be pursuing library sciences, writing, or education; must maintain a permanent address with the Foundation's service area (Illinois counties of DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, LaSalle, and Will); must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in library sciences, writing, education, language arts, or information technology. Selection criteria: Preference given to applicants pursuing degrees in language arts or information technology. How to apply: Applicant must complete the application through the online portal. Transcripts, SAT and ACT scores (if available), SAI number from FAFSA (if available) and email address of individuals who will supply recommendations are required. Focus: Education; English language and literature; Information science and technology; Library and archival sciences.
