To provide college scholarships to Hampden County graduating seniors who have lost a parent. Qualifications: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from Hampden County, MA, who have a deceased parent (preference for those who have had a parent pass away from heart disease); must be pursuing postsecondary education. Selection criteria: Selection is based on financial need, academic history, essay, and other factors for individual scholarships. Generally, a committee of community volunteers chooses the recipients. How to apply: Application must be completed through the online portal. Applicant must also submit transcripts, their FAFSA, and at least one essay. Focus: General studies/Field of study not specified.
