To provide scholarships for families who serve the park this includes students whose parents or legal guardians work or volunteer. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduating high school senior; must reside in the region of Death Valley national park; parent or legal guardian has been employed or has volunteered within Death Valley or the boundaries of Death Valley National Park for a minimum of two years; must fulfill all state and district graduation requirements; having completed junior and senior academic years at any of the following: Death Valley Academy, Beatty High School, Trona High School, Pahrump Valley High School, online or home school program that is both accredited by the state of residence (California or Nevada) and within one of the above district boundaries; students may also residing at Beatty, Pahrump, Trona, and Shoshone. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include official high school transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statement letter, photo. Focus: Historic preservation.
