To encourage and assist students in pursuing engineering careers; to educate the public about engineering and to promote and enhance engineering education in Florida in order to position the state as a technological leader in a global economy. Qualifications: Applicants must be undergraduate student in an ABET-accredited engineering program; expected graduation will be at least 2 semesters from the date of application; at least a 3.0-grade point average on a 4.0 scale; US citizen or permanent resident (green card holder); student is attending an out-of-state program, at least one parent must be a registered FES member for at least a minimum of one year. Selection criteria: Preference will be given to students desiring to attend the University of Florida.
