To support local students pursuing college degrees or vocational education. Qualifications: Applicant must be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the US and planning to attend a college, university or post-secondary program within the US; must be high school seniors who meet the GPA requirement and are graduating from the following high schools in Newaygo County: Fremont, Grant, Hesperia, Newaygo, White Cloud, and home school students who live in Newaygo County; must have a GPA of 3.85 or above; students must be pursuing a baccalaureate or associate degree, or a vocational or technical training program leading to a certificate or license. Selection criteria: Selection is made based on the students academic achievements, performance on standardized tests, and evaluation of the student's personal statement and letter of recommendation. How to apply: Applicant must submit completed application online; must include student educational information; a student personal statement (consisting of 4 short answer questions); one letter of recommendation; high school counselor grade report.
