To support a Gilroy High School graduate pursuing postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduate of Gilroy High School who has applied and/or been accepted into a community college, four-year college or university, or accredited vocational school/program; must intend to pursue a career in education or vocational education; must have demonstrated leadership in school, athletics, and extracurricular activities; must have completed community service with the Garlic Festival or other community organizations; must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Selection criteria: Selection is made by the scholarship selection committee. How to apply: Applicant must submit completed online GUSD Common Scholarship Application; three letters of recommendation, two letters from a staff member-teacher, ACs, Aps, and one letter from a community service supervisor (non-school staff member nor relative); and copy of unofficial high school transcript.
