To support LGBTQIA+ students from Missouri and Kansas who desire to pursue postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community; must be a resident of Jackson, Clay, Platte, or Buchannan counties in Missouri or Johnson, Wyandotte, or Douglas counties in Kansas; must be graduating high school seniors or current college students; must be enrolled part- or full-time at a college, university, or technical program. Selection criteria: Preference will be given to: Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC); trans, nonbinary, gender expansive, two-spirit people; people with disabilities (including people living with chronic illness, HIV, neurodivergence, mental health challenges); people who have experienced housing instability; people living in rural areas; people who demonstrate financial need; people who have experienced family rejection.
