To promote awareness of the accomplishments of the 100th Infantry Battalion veterans of WWII and to perpetuate its legacy of continuing service by rewarding direct descendants of the veterans who demonstrate these values and beliefs. Qualifications: Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, minimum GPA of 2.7; must attend an accredited two-or-four year college or university; must be an undergraduate or graduate student; must be a full-time student (12 credits undergraduate, 6-9 credits graduate); must be a direct descendant of a 100th Infantry Battalion World War II veteran; must active in extra-curricular activities and community service; not need to be a Hawaii resident; not need to demonstrate financial need; must attend a school in the United States. Selection criteria: Review by HCF and/or its committee members. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; Letter recommendation; continuing College; current cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior year HCF application; supporting documents.
