To assist children of ordained ministers who wish to pursue undergraduate degrees. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawaii; be an undergraduate student; at least one parent of applicant resides in Hawai'i, has attended seminary, and is an ordained and practicing Protestant minister; attend as a full-time student maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher; maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Selection criteria: Preference demonstrate financial need; preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing, up to four years as long as the student maintains at least a GPA of 2.5 and reapplies each year. How to apply: Applicants must submit evidence of their parent’s ordination and current ministerial role including church/parish name, denomination, date and place of ordination, and name of seminary attended; must provide proof of full-time enrollment, GPA, and financial need; must reapply each year to continue receiving the award.
