To give back to the community and support students on the island of Hawaii who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in education, nursing, or civil engineering. Qualifications: Applicants must be residents of the State of Hawaii; Applicants must be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; Applicants must demonstrate financial need; Applicants must have graduated from a Hawaii Island high school; Applicants must be college juniors or seniors; Applicants must major in civil engineering, nursing, or education. Selection criteria: Preference will be given to recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if they continue to meet the eligibility requirements and maintain good academic standing. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; Letter recommendation; continuing College; current cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior year HCF application; supporting documents.
