To recognize that as a society we need skilled workers, and has created this scholarship to provide post-secondary scholarships to qualifying graduates from Roosevelt High School. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawaii; demonstrate financial need; minimum GPA of 2.5; be a full-time student; attend an accredited nonprofit college or university in Hawaii; pursue a vocational or technical degree; be a graduate of Roosevelt High School; attend a school in the United States. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing, for a maximum of three years; renewal student must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include FAFSA submission summary; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required; additional documents: letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores for high school seniors, verification of organization affiliations, native Hawaiian ancestry verification.
