To support students pursuing degrees in medical, educational, or social work related fields with the intent to work with individuals in a vulnerable population. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawaii; must demonstrate financial need; must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; must be an undergraduate junior, senior or graduate student; must enrolled in a four year college or university; intend to major in a medical, educational or social work related field; must attend a school in the United States. Selection criteria: Preference will be given in the following order: 1. graduate of Maryknoll High School; 2. first generation or formerly placed in the foster care system in Hawaii. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include FAFSA submission summary; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required; additional documents: letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores for high school seniors, verification of organization affiliations, native Hawaiian ancestry verification.
