To provide scholarships to Hawaii students pursuing post-secondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawaii; demonstrate financial need; maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; be a first generation college student (first in their family to attend a college/university to attain a college degree); be a graduate of a Hawaii Island high school; attend a 2 or 4 year college/university located within the state of Hawaii as a part-time or full-time student; scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing; must attend a school in the United States. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include FAFSA submission summary; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required; additional documents: letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores for high school seniors, verification of organization affiliations, native Hawaiian ancestry verification.
