To provide scholarships for graduates of Baldwin High School or Maui High School who are pursuing undergraduate degrees. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the state of Hawaii; demonstrate financial need; be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative gpa of 2.0; graduate of Baldwin high school or Maui high school; pursuing a bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited institution; intend to major in one of the following areas: science, technology, engineering or math fields (stem); health-related fields including health care administration, kinesiology, and physical or occupational therapy; social service fields including social work, psychology, and public administration; minimum cumulative gpa of 3.0; students who are first-generation in their family to attend college. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria; preferences will be recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing; Renewable up to 5 years. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required or recommended for specific scholarships; current cumulative grade point average (gpa); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior year hcf application; letters of recommendation (lor) are not typically required to submit Applicants application; two (2) letters of recommendation. Focus: Engineering; Health care services; Mathematics and mathematical sciences; Occupational therapy; Physical therapy; Psychology; Public administration; Science; Social work; Technology.
