To provide scholarships to students in Hawaii, especially non-traditional students. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawai'i; demonstrate financial need; be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria; preference (in order of priority): recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing; non-traditional student (including delayed enrollers, returning, transfer, and adult students), who is working and involved in community service; non-traditional student who is working; non-traditional student who is involved in community service; non-traditional student. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required or recommended for specific scholarships; current cumulative grade point average (gpa); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior year hcf application; letters of recommendation (lor) are not typically required to submit Applicants application.
