To provide scholarships to students in Hawaii pursuing two- or four-year degrees. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawai'i; demonstrate financial need; be a full-time student; be an undergraduate student; attend a two or four year college or university; minimum GPA of 2.7.; must attend a school in the United States. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria; preference be a graduate of a public high school on Hawai'i Island; preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing; preference to students who graduated from public high schools in Hawai’i. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include FAFSA submission summary; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required; additional documents: letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores for high school seniors, verification of organization affiliations, native Hawaiian ancestry verification; one letter of recommendation from a non-related community volunteer or teacher speaking to the student’s community service ability.
