To purpose of the scholarship is to support students of Filipino descent to pursue higher education at an accredited college or university in the state of Hawaii. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawaii; demonstrate financial need; minimum GPA of 3.0 for undergraduate students; maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA; minimum GPA of 3.5 for graduating high school seniors; attend an institution in the State of Hawaii; be a graduate of a Hawaii public high school; be an undergraduate degree-seeking student; be a full-time student; be of Filipino ancestry. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria; preferences students of Ilokano ancestry. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required or recommended for specific scholarships; current cumulative grade point average (gpa); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior year hcf application; letters of recommendation (lor) are not typically required to submit Applicants application; two letters of recommendation; essay: In 250-500 words.
