To support members pursuing post-secondary education. Qualifications: Applicant must be currently enrolled or officially accepted into a definite course of study in an academic/vocational program at a recognized, accredited educational institution; must be a current active member of the House of Puerto Rico San Diego and/or a San Diego County resident of Puerto Rican descent, who has contributed at least 10 hours of community service to the HPRSD within the last year. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit a online application form; personal essay (minimum of 250 words) including educational goals, financial needs, contribution to community service through the house of Puerto Rico, prior history of community service; proof of current enrollment in an educational or vocational institution; transcripts reflecting most recent academic achievement; three recommendation letters from teachers, counselors, employers or community leaders; completed Applications form; any additional materials that could enhance application.
