To recognize scholastic achievement and leadership qualities in students who plan to become CPAs. Qualifications: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen; must be enrolled in a Kentucky-based college/university or a Kentucky resident attending a bordering state (IN, OH, TN, WV, VA, MO, IL) college/university; Intend to stay and work/live in Kentucky upon graduation; must have completed or are enrolled in Intermediate Accounting; must be a student member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs; must have overall grade point average of at least 2.75; must plans to sit for the CPA exam (applicants who have completed all or parts of the exam are also eligible). Selection criteria: Selection will be based on acceptable academic performance and financial need. How to apply: Applicants must be submit completed online application; the documents below must be uploaded upon completion of the application and should be uploaded as pdf files; college transcript(s); unofficial transcripts are acceptable; one-page resume; include info on community service, academic organizations and activities; two Letters of Recommendation; letters should come from business school professors, who have (or are currently) taught the applicant, with at least one being an accounting-specific educator; educators will upload these themselves; applicants application is not considered complete until both are. Focus: Accounting.
