To provide for students who do not currently have the required 2.50 cumulative high school or college grade point average (GPA). Qualifications: Applicants must be Alaska Natives enrolled under section 5 of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of the Koniag Region or direct or legally adopted descendants of original enrollees; must be registered as shareholders or descendants with Koniag or be able to show copies of the registration form(s); must be accepted to or enrolled in nationally, regionally, or municipally accredited or recognized institutions of higher learning or vocational schools; members of the KEF Board of Directors and their immediate families are not eligible to apply for KEF scholarships and grants; must be in good standing with KEF’s other scholarship programs; must be enrolling into an accredited college; must not have received a KEF General Scholarship in the last two years; must be enrolled in at least two classes (6 credits) per term; must be students who do not currently have the required 2.50 cumulative high school or college grade point average (GPA); full-time undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits/4 classes per term; part-time undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits/2 classes per term; must have attained high school diploma or GED by June 30 of application year.
