To provide financial support for the education of undergraduate students who belong to ethnic groups: African American, Asian Pacific American, Hispanic or Native American or Alaska Native. Qualifications: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or daca recipient; must be a full-time student at a four-year, accredited institution in the U.S., carrying a total of 9 units or more per semester or quarter; must have a minimum of 3.2 gpa; must major in a field of study that has an emphasis in advertising, marketing, public relations; must have a minimum of two academic semesters or one-year left to complete his or her masters degree from the time the scholarship is awarded in May next year. summer semesters do not count; recipients must be available to participate in the scholarship activities in May next year. if chosen, the applicant must attend tlf scholarship activities; must make a one-year commitment to maintain contact with tlf to receive professional guidance and academic support. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; application must be typed and in one pdf file or it will not be accepted; should includes essay questions should be answered on separate pages: a one page essay; describing their career goals and the steps their plan to take to achieve them; a brief paragraph explaining college andor community activities; a brief paragraph describing any honors and awards that their have received; optional: if their do not think their gpa accurately reflects their scholastic capability and achievement, then draft an essay no longer than one-page explaining the discrepancy; one reference letter from a college professor or internship advisor on official letterhead and signed; current resume; unofficial transcripts from their college or university; headshot photo of applicant.
