To provide for a current or aspiring law student who wants to bring positive change to family law practice and policy. Qualifications: Applicants must be enrolled (or will be) in an accredited undergraduate or J.D. program at a U.S. college or university for spring next year; applicants are at least 18 years old; must be a U.S. citizen; have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on demonstrated passion for the practice and betterment of family law; essay meets all requirements including pdf format, citations, and structure; originality, thoughtfulness, and writing quality of the essay. How to apply: Applicant must submit online application form; should include pdf essay of 500-1,500 words; academic transcript; proof of enrollment; headshot (.jpg); consent to publish essay.
