Offers financial assistance to honor a student who made a significant impact in their community by noticing a problem and taking the initiative to solve that problem. Qualifications: Students must be enrolled in an accredited institution anywhere in the United States and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Selection criteria: In combination with other credentials, the best essay will be selected explaining what led you to this community service activity, what societal issue or problem it addressed, and how successful it was. How to apply: Applicant must submit 750-word personal essay describing a community service activity you initiated. Please explain what led you to this particular activity, what societal issue or problem it addressed, and how successful it was. If not successful, please propose another way to fix your community’s issue; professional resume listing both professional and academic experience; current academic transcript, official or unofficial; high school students or GED holders who will be attending college the following year should also include proof of acceptance to their educational institution.
