Undergraduate Student First Place: $2,500 Undergraduate Student Runner-Up: $2,000 Undergraduate Student Third Place: $1,500 Undergraduate Student Fourth Place: $1,000 Undergraduate Student Fifth Place: $500 Graduate Student First Place: $2,000 Graduate Student Runner-Up: $1,000 Qualifications: Applicants must be high school seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students with an interest in economics, specifically the tradition of the Austrian school; do not have to be an economics major to be eligible. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on blue ribbon committee of professors, economists, and executives of Money Metals Exchange and Sound Money Defense League; the panel will select undergraduate and graduate winners. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online nomination form; should provide proof of current attendance at a high school, college, or university (by submitting, for example, a transcript); current resume and their essay; essays should be roughly 1,000 words.
