Conduct and Utilization of Research in Nursing (CURN) Awards

To fund research or utilization of research in practice. Qualifications: Principal investigators must be a regular MNA member in good standing and a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in Michigan and living in the state, and possess or be working on a masters or doctoral degree. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit the following materials: four copies of the completed grant application; research support and abstract; detailed budget for proposed research; project narrative, must not exceed 10 single spaced pages, excluding appendices. Recipients will be known as CURN Scholars. All publications and publicity must reflect such title and acknowledge the Michigan Nurses Foundation. CURN Scholars will be asked to present their research at the MNA Convention or to write an article for publication in Michigan Nurse describing their research and its implications for nursing practice. Focus: Nursing.
