Native Forward Scholars Fund

To assist Native American students pursuing postsecondary degrees with a focus in environment, energy, cultural sustainability, or a major in a STEM or STEM-related discipline. Qualifications: Applicants must be American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and pursuing degrees with a focus in environment, energy, cultural sustainability, or a major in a STEM or STEM-related discipline; Native American students pursuing degrees that prepare them for the renewable energy workforce are encouraged to apply; must hold a current GPA of 3.0 or higher; applicants must be students are required to maintain full-time enrollment at a U.S. accredited institution. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the fulfillment of the stated qualifications and proof of Tribal affiliation. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include: completed Native Forward Scholars Fund Personal Profile; tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC) completed by the Tribal Enrollment Office; Financial Needs Form (FNF) completed by the institution’s Financial Aid Office; applicant’s most recent academic transcript, essay(s) (specific to each scholarship), one academic reference, and one community/leadership reference.
