To support American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate (juniors and seniors) and graduate students pursuing degrees full-time at an accredited institution. Qualifications: Applicants must be students are required to maintain full-time enrollment at a U.S. accredited institution; must have cumulative GPAs below 3.0; individuals who can verify descendants of American Indian or Alaska Native lineage from Tribes are also eligible; American Indians and Alaska Natives who are enrolled in U.S. federally recognized tribes or state-recognized tribes; students who attend U.S. accredited institutions as defined by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education; must be able to demonstrate Tribal affiliation through a Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC); undergraduate (juniors and seniors) students must be pursuing a degree in the gaming, tourism, financial, or hospitality industries; graduate students must be pursuing a degree in business or a gaming/hospitality-related field; this includes banking, resort management, gaming operations, or management and administration (including accounting, finance, information technology, and human resources). How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include: completed native forward scholars fund personal profile; tribal eligibility certificate completed by the tribal enrollment office; financial needs form completed by the institution’s financial aid office; applicant’s most recent academic transcript, essay(s) (specific to each scholarship), one academic reference, and one community/leadership reference.
