To provide scholarships for postsecondary education. Qualifications: Students must be a graduated senior of Rochester High School planning to attend an accredited college, university, trade, or vocational school; applicants must also be involved in basketball or football programs with preference given to basketball. Some preference will be given to a student that has been involved all four years of their high school career; students must also show extracurricular activities and/or work history as well as being deserving of financial assistance. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria and following criteria may include but are not limited to: academic performance; applicant’s performance on tests to measure ability and aptitude for educational work; recommendations; applicant’s biographical information; applicant’s ability, character, motivation, and potential.
