To provide scholarships to Purdue University students who are from Starke County and are pursuing studies in engineering, agriculture, or consumer and family living. Qualifications: Applicants must be sophomore, junior, or senior students at Purdue University in a School of Engineering, Agriculture or Consumer and Family Living; must have graduated from a high school in Starke County, Indiana; must demonstrate financial need; applicants must be qualified sophomore or higher students attending Purdue University in the School of Engineering, Agriculture or Consumer and Family Living (Family Sciences) who have graduated from a Starke County High School, and who are deserving of financial assistance; students have attended high school in Indiana for at least four years and must have graduated in at least the highest twenty percent (20%) of their high school graduating class; good character, citizenship and a healthy life style are important criteria. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria and may include but are not limited to: academic performance; applicant’s performance on tests to measure ability and aptitude for educational work; recommendations; applicant’s biographical information; applicant’s ability, character, motivation, and potential.
